Jackie Chan visits Kazakhstan to film the sequel to Armour of God II: Operation Condor; the Vice President meets him to express gratitude

Martial arts superstar Jackie Chan and his production team have brought the classic adventure film series Operation Condor: Ultimate to Kazakhstan for on-location filming. Jackie—known as the “Asian Hawk”—will embark on a treasure-hunting adventure amidst Central Asian ruins and vast, spectacular frontier landscapes. Erlan Karin, the State Counselor (often referred to as Vice President) of Kazakhstan, met with Jackie Chan on the 7th (local time) to discuss international cooperation in the film industry and the feasibility of future projects.

Citing Guancha.cn, HK01 reported that Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev places great importance on the development of new technologies and creative industries, striving to create conditions that allow citizens to realize their creative potential.

During the meeting, Karin noted that attracting such large-scale international projects would not only boost the development and professionalism of Kazakhstan’s film industry but also help establish the country as an attractive destination for international film and television production.

The report indicates that Operation Condor: Ultimate, starring Jackie Chan, continues the classic “treasure-hunting adventure meets action-comedy” formula established by earlier films like Armour of God and Operation Condor.

The story follows the “Asian Hawk” as he receives a new lead and travels to Central Asia. Amidst the magnificent natural landscapes and ancient ruins of Kazakhstan—including canyons, deserts, and historic architecture—he searches for a lost artifact from an ancient civilization that holds immense significance.

Departing from his usual “lone wolf” persona, the Asian Hawk joins forces with local Kazakh experts and partners to form a multinational adventure team. Together, they will solve ancient mysteries and battle criminal gangs vying for the artifact, all set against a backdrop of visually stunning outdoor chases and real-location action sequences.
